European stocks set for a rude awaking- check out the DAX futures this morning

The slide across the US stock markets on Friday and even bigger hammering for the Nikkei 225 todays has sent all the major European stock market futures lower. The DAX led the losses on Friday, when it closed 0.96% lower. The index ended the week, 217 points lower, at 22,461. The DAX futures are further in the red this morning and of course that opening outlook is unlikely to improve much over the next 45 minutes, before live trading resumes for the final session of the month. The index has been priced to reopen very close to 22,200 earlier and it is not much above that right now. The current opening call is around 22,245, but given the uncertainty across the markets this morning, that opening call can very soon change.
