European stocks set to open slightly lower today-check out the DAX futures right now
The European stock markets are shortly going to open and as things stand right now, it is set to be a slightly negative start to the week. The FTSE 100, DAX and CAC futures are all in the red right now. All three indexes closed lower on Friday and could not tag onto the later, further US gains. The worst performing index in percentage terms was the DAX, which handed back 0.43%. The FTSE 100 lost 0.26% and the CAC closed 0.27% lower. The DAX closed 85 points lower, at 19,884 and right now it is priced to open around 19,870. So, it will be interesting to see, if the German benchmark can make progress this morning and rebound above the high seen on Friday, at 19,924.
