All the major European stock markets enjoyed a solid rebound yesterday and that saw gains of around 2.5% or more. The best performing index on the day was the FTSE 100 (+2.71%), followed by the CAC 40 (+2.5%) and then the DAX (+2.48%). The DAX reached a high yesterday at 20,468 and later closed 490 points higher, at 20,280. However, as you can see now today, the European stock futures got whacked after the close yesterday and at one point that saw the DAX priced to reopen around 19,300 this morning. The DAX futures have since bounced off the lows, but the opening outlook is very much set for a negative start to trading in less than an hour. The reader is reminded of the lows seen on Monday, when the index crumbled to 18,489. Granted that is not immediately back on the radar this morning, but given the extreme volatility out there again today we should not dismiss that either. The DAX is right now priced to reopen at 19,675
