European stocks set to open modestly higher this morning-check out the DAX

As noted here yesterday, the rebound in the European stocks into the close was at odds with the losses unfolding in the US. The DAX did take an immediate hit on the US CPI data though and that saw it fall to a low at 17,975. The noted rebound that followed then saw it rise back above 18,135, before later closing at 18,076, with a gain of 20 points on the session. Much earlier in the day the DAX had peaked at 18,239. Perhaps there was a degree of rotation out of US stocks and into Europe equities and certainly that seemed to play out. The ECB policy decision could decide it that continues later today. The DAX could be front and centre to any market reaction to the ECB decision. There will be more to add on that a little later this morning. Meantime, the DAX futures are pricing a slightly higher opening shortly, currently at around 18,105
