The record closes for the Nasdaq 100 and the S+P 500 indexes last night have all but ensured it is going to be a higher opening across Europe this morning. Yesterday all the major indexes here rebounded into the close, but that did not stop all of them from setting lower closes. The worst performer on the day was the DAX this time. The index handed back 0.69%, compared to a loss of 0.56% for the FTSE 100 and 0.30% for the CAC 40. The DAX lost 126 points on the day, closing at 18,164, but that was some way above the earlier session low at 18,030. No matter it seems though, because the DAX is set to open higher this morning, currently at above 18,230. That might change in the next 30 minutes, but right now the DAX is set to kick off the day on a much more positive footing than seen this time yesterday
