European stocks reopen- CAC 40 slips in early trade

The CAC 40 was the second best performing major European index on Friday. The index closed with a gain of 2.33% on the day, ending the week 176 points higher, at 7,770. That close was also above a technical rebound level, at 7,687 (61.8% of the fall from 8,257, to the Trump led low at 6,763). The next potential resistance level in that respect is in place at 7,905. However, the index is not at all guaranteed to test that level today and it has kicked off the new week in the red a short while ago. That comes as the DAX starts to edge higher in early trading, rising back above 23,100. The CAC 40 is currently trading at 7,737 as it underperforms so far in early trade
