European stocks open mostly in the red today- DAX outperforms
The European stock markets have just reopened for live trading and it has been an across the board lower opening, led rather unsurprisingly by the CAC 40. The DAX is the best performing index in very early trading, but that could change as the morning unfolds. As noted here earlier, the DAX was the only major European index to close higher on Friday, ending the session 24 points higher, at 18,475. The index is now pushing back, a little closer towards 18,500, as the CAC 40 lifts slightly from its earlier opening lows. The DAX is just now trading at 18,485
