European stocks open modestly in the red today-check out the DAX and the CAC

The European stock markets have just reopened for the final live trading session of the week and it has been a modestly lower start to the day. The EURO STOXX 50 has kicked off trading around 0.25% lower and so the DAX and CAC are opening in the red too. The CAC is being weighed on by further uncertainty in the luxury sector and the DAX is held back by the poor performance seen yesterday. In contrast to that we have modest opening gains in the IBEX and FTSE MIB. The DAX is currently pivoting around that 18,700 level, which is actually better than seen earlier in the DAX futures, where the index was priced to open south of 18,675 at one point. Of course it is very early in the session and trading direction is far from conclusive at this stage. The DAX is currently trading at 18,695
