European stocks open lower- DAX slips in early trade

The European stock markets have just reopened for live trading and it has not actually been a positive start for the DAX. The index futures did try to make some headway after the latest German factory orders significantly beat the street, but in the event the index has now opened lower. The DAX has fallen back to below 18,525 on the opening, but it is early days in terms of the session and we should expect plenty of price action as the morning unfolds. The DAX is also being held back by losses in the CAC and the FTSE to a lesser degree in early trade. The DAX is actually just now lifting off the lows, currently trading at 18,540
