European stocks open higher, but not as high as might have been earlier-check out the DAX now

The European stock markets have just reopened and of course it has been a positive start to the session. That was always going to be the case, given the gains across the US futures and the now almost certain outcome of the US election. However, despite opening on the front foot this morning, the gains across the CAC 40, FTSE 100 and DAX are not quite as ebullient as seemed likely earlier this morning. It is early in the session though and so further upside should not be discounted. The  DAX opened up around 19,350. It is currently trading around 19,375
