European stocks lift on the opening, but will it last? Check out the FTSE 100

As expected and priced into the futures markets, the European stock markets have rebounded on the opening just now. The DAX is now lifting above 18,100 and the CAC 40 is leading the way in percentage terms. However, the FTSE 100 is not making much headway in very early trading, but perhaps that makes sense given the rebounds in the other two indexes. As noted here earlier, the FTSE 100 was the best performer in relative terms on Friday, so perhaps it makes sense that is not the case so far today, when the other two rebound? The FTSE 100 closed on Friday at 8,146, with a loss of just 16 points on the session. It is currently trading at 8,163
