European stocks lift on the opening but will it last? check out the CAC 40

The European stock markets have just reopened and it has been a generally positive start to the day. As suspected the FTSE 100 has led the gains and resumed live trade back above its 200 day moving average, which is technically positive. The DAX, which was fumbling with lower opening levels has now lifted above where it closed yesterday and so has the CAC 40. The French index has done what it could not do yesterday and lift back above the 7,300 handle. It is perhaps another matter, as to whether it can hold these opening gains. The US futures are a bit higher too, but it is very early days for all concerned and we should expect plenty of swings in both directions again today. In fact, both the DAX and the CAC are turning a little lower now, as trading gets more fully underway
