European stocks fall back further - now the DAX drops into the red
Following on from the penultimate update here looking at the CAC 40 approaching the 7,700 handle, the index has now fallen further and just now it dropped below 7,650. At the same time the FTSE 100 and the DAX are now also in the red and that is turning a deeper shade of the colour by the minute. The FTSE 100 is now approaching 8,175. The DAX has completely turned around an earlier rise to a high at 18,650. It closed yesterday at 18,450 and just now it fell to below 18,425. It does seem like the losses in the CAC are leading this, but it is wise to remember; there will be fallout across all the European stock markets, if the CAC crumbles on Monday and that explains why the FTSE 100 and the DAX have tracked it lower. The DAX is just now trading at 18,440
