European stocks facing an uncertain start today- CAC 40 posts a daily close below 7,500

Well, the move higher in the CAC 40 in recent days, which took it back to just above 7,800 last Monday has now been reversed. It was the daily close back above 7,500 last week, which started that recovery ball rolling, but yesterday the CAC closed back underneath that 7,500 level. The CAC 40 was the worst performing major European index yesterday. The index closed 99 points lower, at 7,477. That 1.32% fall compared to a 0.78% fall in the DAX and just 0.10% for the FTSE 100. The CAC set a low yesterday at 7,458 and right now the CAC futures are still pricing an opening above that low, but this price point is surely on the radar when live trade resumes a little later. The CAC 40 is currently priced to reopen right where it closed yesterday
