European stocks edge higher in early trading-check out the DAX this morning

As noted here earlier today, the DAX did close a little lower yesterday afternoon, but it is just now edging higher in the first hour of live trading. The index closed at 16,628. It reopened this morning at 16,644 and has just now pushed above the highs seen yesterday, at 16,655. The move higher comes as the FTSE 100 lifts from earlier session lows and the US futures edge a little higher, but remain in the red for the most part. The obvious next level for the DAX remains the current 2023 and all time record high set on Wednesday at 16,727. The index is currently trading at 16,667
