European stocks continue to drift lower as DAX hits new session lows

The European stock markets are still struggling to make headway. In fact, the likes of the FTSE 100 and DAX are now close to session lows reached a few minutes ago. The FTSE 100 has now traded to below 7,600 and the DAX has dipped below 16,620. The further downside pressure comes as the US futures fall a bit more into the red and the dollar remains on the front foot, especially versus the Pound and the Yen. There is no fresh news of note out just now and it seems the firmer dollar is weighing on stocks across the European and US equity markets complex. The DAX is currently trading at 16,619
