As the US stock markets continue to try and repair the damage inflicted upon them by the higher US CPI print and slide in US bonds, the European markets are back in the black now. Earlier the DAX did follow the US markets lower, but for the past hour and more it has been on the rebound. Of course that makes sense in real terms, as the European markets are not necessarily hostage to what happens on Wall Street, but often that is the case. Well, not so this afternoon it seems. Earlier the DAX fell to 17,975, but it is on the rebound now. So, in order to avoid a negative close this afternoon, the DAX will need to end the session above 18,076. It is currently trading around 18,145
