European stocks are not buying it as DAX hits session lows

The US stock markets might be going gangbusters again this afternoon, but the European markets are just not buying it and right now both the FTSE 100 and DAX are setting fresh session lows. The FTSE 100 has refused to take out 7,700 so far today, despite coming close on the opening. It is now dropping to below 7,640. The DAX opened at a record, but also balked at the idea of setting a new all time high above 17.049. It is now falling back to session lows, underneath 16,940. Perhaps the US markets are not ready to curb their enthusiasm, but the European markets and the DAX seem more inclined to do so
