European stock market opening gains not exactly impressive at this stage-check out the DAX
The European stock markets have been open now for around 25 minutes and it has been a generally higher opening today. However the FTSE 100 has balked at that and is currently slightly in the red. The DAX and the CAC are still holding gains, but they are modest at best right now. That is as the US futures are still in the green this morning. That said, the gains in the US futures are not stellar by any means, given the losses seen yesterday. The DAX did reopen higher, but right now it is not markedly above where it closed yesterday. That might change over the course of the morning, but right now confidence is not really there right now and clearly downside risks have not gone away. The DAX is right now at 22,700
