European stock gains dissipate as US futures continue to advance-check out the CAC 40 again

For the past hour or two the gains here in Europe across the major stock market indexes have dissipated somewhat and that has seen the CAC 40 in particular underwhelm, but the FTSE 100 and DAX are also now tracking lower. The drop back comes despite further upside in the US futures. The Dow Jones is right now pricing an opening close to 44,600 and the S+P 500 has edged a little higher, to around 6k. At one point earlier, the CAC 40 was actually the best performer in relative terms amongst its major European peers. Well, not any more folks, as the index drops back to below where it closed on Friday, approaching 7,250
