European stock futures fall back- check out the CAC futures now

The close for the European stock markets yesterday was not one-dimensional and not exactly impressive either. The CAC 40 was the underperforming index all day really and later it was the only one of the three major indexes to close in the red. The CAC closed 18.95 points lower, at 7,130, but that close was above the earlier session low at 7,070. The gains stateside last night and rise in the Japanese markets today have lifted the CAC 40 futures this morning, as indeed it has for the FTSE and DAX too. The CAC 40 was priced to reopen well above 7,200 a little earlier, but in the last few minutes it has slumped following a fall back in the Nikkei 225 futures after the close, after fresh comments from Japanese officials. So, as you can see this whole market dynamic is still extremely fluid. It seems wise not to assume the worst is yet behind us in that respect. The CA C 40 is right now priced to reopen, not much above where it closed yesterday, at around 7,148
