European equity futures in the red this morning-check out the DAX

The European stock markets all posted higher closes yesterday and it was the CAC 40 that led those gains. There will be more to add on that later. The DAX came very close to setting a new record above 19,044. However, as pointed out at the time, the index stepped back from a session high at 19,029. Well, for those looking for a new all time high, that was probably a real  disappointment. The index later fell back close to 18,900 before rebounding into the close, to end the session 149 points higher, at 18,996. Today the outlook is right now not so positive. The DAX futures are lower and right now pricing the opening below the lows seen yesterday (18,903) and that is not immediately positive. There will be more to add on this once live trading resumes, but for the time being the DAX is priced to reopen around 18,865
