The DAX came very close to setting a new record above 19,044. However, as pointed out at the time, the index stepped back from a session high at 19,029. The index later fell back close to 18,900 before rebounding into the close, to end the session 149 points higher, at 18,996. Today the outlook is right now not so positive. The DAX futures are lower and right now pricing the opening below the lows seen yesterday (18,903) and that is not immediately positive. There will be more to add on this once live trading resumes, but for the time being the DAX is priced to reopen around 18,865
