Yesterday the major European stock markets all posted higher closes. The DAX was the leader in percentage terms and next came the FTSE 100. The CAC 40 was the clear laggard and in fact, it barely closed higher at all. The positive opening (7,329) for the index and push to a high at 7,333 soon after did not last for very long at all and as covered here at the time, the CAC fell back below below where it had closed on Friday, at 7,255. The index did just manage to squeeze out a higher close, when ending the day at 7,257.
