EUR/GBP still grinding towards 0.8400
The jump in the Pound yesterday was not just versus the dollar and in relative terms the Pound has performed the best versus the US currency outside of the Yen of course, since this time yesterday. Consequently the EUR/GBP has fallen back further and closer to the 0.8400 handle. An update here yesterday noted how the 0.8397, 2024 low was coming back on the radar and since that update nothing has yet changed in that regard. The EUR/GBP closed in the US last night at 0.8415. The low seen so far today has been set at 0.8413 and the high at just 0.8422. The risk of a break below 0.8397 therefore seems live and the reader is drawn to the previous update on the FTSE 100, noting flow back to that index. That could be a driver for the EUR/GBP to move lower too. That said, the price is not exactly crumbling lower since yesterday and it has been more of grind so far, than it has been any kind of dynamic slide. The EUR/GBP is on session lows right now
