EUR/GBP sets lowest daily close of the year
As suspected the break below 0.8260 in the EUR/GBP did deliver further downside yesterday afternoon. Later the Euro posted its lowest daily close of the year, when it ended the US session at 0.8842. The low seen ahead of that close was set at 0.8239. The price action so far today has been covered by 0.8240 to 0.8246. That is incredibly tight by any standards and unlikely to persist as the day progresses. The low seen yesterday was the lowest since April 2022. The next support of note could be the March 2022 low, at 0.8203. As stated yesterday the relative outcomes of the ECB policy decision tomorrow and that from the BOE next will could decide, if this latest move extends, or is reversed by the end of next week. The EUR/GBP is just now at 0.8243
