ECB leaves all benchmark interest rates unchanged- EUR/USD largely unmoved
The European Central Bank (ECB) has just announced the outcome of their policy decision and as expected they have left all their main benchmark rates unchanged. This was very much the expected outcome today and as such it is not game changing decision. The EUR/USD was trading almost entirely unchanged, around 1.0930 just ahead of the decision. It is not moving much in the first couple of minutes afterwards. The ECB have stated they will remain on a data dependent watch, when it comes to any changes down the road, on a meeting by meeting basis, whilst also stating they will keep policy on a relatively restrictive stance.
