Well, all the US equity markets did reopen higher today, but pretty soon that has turned a little sour. The leader in the early shift lower is the Dow Jones and that has come as the S+P 500 also rejects a more sustained move above 5,350. The Dow opened today at 39,556. The early high was set at 39,587. It has now fallen back more than 200 points since the opening, to a session low so far at 39,340. However, what we do know is just how fast this can turnaround again. There is no direct news catalyst for this and besides in real terms 200 or so points on the Dow Jones these days is really nothing much to write home about at this early stage in the session. The index is currently trading at 39,344
