Dow Jones slides into the opening

The US stock markets have just reopened and it has been a pretty negative start to the penultimate session of the year. All three major indexes are markedly in the red in the first few minutes of trading. The Dow Jones officially reopened at 42,863, but in truth that was just a book entry and not a price you could have dealt at yet. The low seen so far has been set at 42,434 and the index closed last Friday at 42,992. The price action is fast and furious and increasingly sporadic this afternoon. So, if you are involved, then you need to be very mindful of that. The Dow Jones is currently trading at 42,446
