Dow Jones sets a new record opening level at 45,038

The US stock markets have just reopened. Yesterday the Dow Jones posted its first ever daily close above 45k, ending the session 308 points higher, at 45,014. However, positive as it was that close was down from the record high seen, at 45,073. The Dow has just officially reopened at 45,038, but in reality it was never there to trade immediately. Well, not yet anyway, but it might be seen later of course. In fact, it just hit 45,049 and the price action is as rapid as ever folks. Of course these days 50 points is but a mere blink of an eye in percentage terms at this elevated level. The index is right now at 44,990
