Dow Jones set an opening record as US stocks resume live trading

The US stock markets have just reopened and we have seen record opening levels for the Dow Jones and the S+P 500. It is not so yet for the Nasdaq 100 though of course. The Dow Jones set a new opening record, at 42,234 but almost immediately dropped back to a low at 42,118. The index has just rebounded though, but it remains to be seen if the high on the day has already been set today. The record high today comes ahead of data due out at 2pm GMT. The Dow Jones is currently trading at 42,195
