Dow Jones rises to a new record above 39,750
Following on from the previous update, noting the record gains in the Nasdaq 100 on the opening today, the Dow Jones has followed suit and lifted above 39,700. In fact it is just now pressing above 39,750. So, as noted here earlier today, 40k for the Dow Jones is well and truly on the radar now. As to whether it can get there today remains to be seen, but it might be a little short-sighted to rule out such a prospect. The Dow Jones is just now trading at 39,740
