Dow Jones outperforms again as Nasdaq 100 struggles

The US stock markets have been open for just over an hour now and it has been another day of contrasts so far. The Dow Jones is outperforming and just now managed to reclaim levels above 38k. At the same time the Nasdaq 100 is not doing so well. That looks to another slide in some leading tech stocks. The company at the head of that is Tesla (TSLA) . The stock is reeling from the fallout of 10% job cuts, as drop in sales and another leading analyst downgrade today. So, the Nasdaq 100 has struggled to make any progress at all today. The index is off its session lows (17,396), but fighting to make any progress. Of course this evening after the closing bell we get important results from another tech name, Netflix. That is due out after the closing bell, at 8pm GMT. So, the Dow was the best performing index yesterday and right now it looks like repeating that performance again today. The index has just dropped back though, from a high a moment ago at 38,010. It is just now trading at 37,963
