Dow Jones opens higher and backs off immediately
The Dow Jones closed yesterday at 40,145, with a gain of 127 points on the day, but down from the session high at 40,472. It has just this minute officially reopened at 40,443, but backed off immediately. The move lower comes as the Dollar hits session highs versus the Euro, trading at exactly 1.0850. The move lower comes amid a down tick on the opening in both the Nasdaq 100 and the S+P 500, but it is very early in the session and this could also be reversed. The Dow Jones is currently trading at 40,355
