Dow Jones marches on to set new all time high at 42,374

Following the previous update, noting the higher US stock market opening today, we can now see the Dow Jones is once again outperforming its peers. The index has not long ago marched onwards and upwards and set a new all time high, at 42,374. That came after what was another record opening for the index today, at 42,227. As to how far this might now extend is hard to gauge quite honestly, but what we are seeing in early trading is divergence between the Dow and the Nasdaq 100 again. That rotation is immediately favouring the Dow, but quite often it can rotate back the other way. Perhaps we shall see how that transpires after the US data at 2pm GMT.
