Dow Jones leads US stocks lower in first hour of live trading
The US stock markets are not exactly roaring ahead again this afternoon. Right now the scene is slightly negative across the board. The Dow Jones is struggling most of all so far, but not yet by anything remarkable or irreversible at this early stage in the session. As noted earlier, there are no US economic releases out this afternoon to help guide direction. The Dow opened today ever so slightly lower, at 39,774 and it has fallen back to a low so far at 39,645. What is interesting to note; is that the lower US yields today are so far not having a positive impact on US stocks in the micro sense, but given the level these markets are at right now that is probably not surprising. The index is currently trading at 39,670
