Dow Jones leads US gains as yields slip- futures in the green this morning

The Dow Jones was the best performing US stock market yesterday. The index gained 0.71% compared to a rise of 0.42% for the Nasdaq 100 and 0.39% for the S+P 500. The Dow reached a session high at 44,886 after reopening at 44,563. It later closed 317 points higher, at 44,873. The futures are higher this morning and surely buoyed by comments from Bessent after the closing bell last night. He is advocating lower US yields. Data wise yesterday, there was little to support those yields either. The outlook for US stocks has certainly brightened from what it was at the start of the week. The Dow Jones is right now priced to reopen around 44,965 and as things currently stand a return to above 45k looks more than likely later today
