Dow Jones has a look above 44k for the first time ever

The Dow Jones was the best performing major US stock market index on Friday. The Dow reached a new all time record intraday high, at 44,157. However, it was not able to hold all of that gain into the close and narrowly missed out on setting a first ever close above 44k. The index closed at 43,988, with a rise of 259 points on the day. That 0.59% session gain compared to 0.38% for the S+P 500 and just 0.07% for the Nasdaq 100. From a technical perspective, looking at the Relative Strength Index (RSI) on this one, it is not actually yet overbought. The 14 day RSI is still south of 70 (Levels above 80 indicate overbought) as of the close on Friday. It is a US public holiday today (Veterans Day), but the US stock markets are open as usual later on. However, many other US markets will not open and most importantly that includes the Bond markets. The Dow Jones futures are elevated this morning and currently pricing another record opening later on, just now around 44,060
