Dow Jones futures surging this morning towards a record opening later today

The Dow Jones was the weakest of the three major US stock markets into the close last night. Nevertheless, the index still closed 1.02% higher, ending the session at 42,221, with a gain of 427 points on the day. The all time record high for the Dow Jones was set earlier in the summer, at 43,325 and right now the Dow Jones futures are gunning for an opening that is close to that. The index futures have been piling on the gains since it became pretty clear that Trump is going to be the next President of the United States. So, the Dow futures are right now pricing an opening around 990 points higher than the close last night. So, a new record for the cash index later today is most definitely on the radar now. The Dow Jones is currently priced to reopen around 43,235
