The losses across the European equity markets this morning are not yet showing any signs of rebounding (in fact, near session lows right now) and that has weighed on the US opening outlook over the course of the past hour and more. The Nasdaq 100 futures have pared their earlier gains, which indicated a potential opening to above 19,550, now pricing that close to 19,375. That relapse has impacted the opening outlook for the Dow Jones later on. The Dow Jones was by the far the worst performer amongst the 3 major US indexes yesterday, rising by just 0.24%. That compared to a 1.58% rise for the S+P and 3.01% for the Nasdaq 100. Of course the tech crossover between the S+P and the Nasdaq 100 ensured it tracked that more closely than it did the Dow. The Dow Jones was earlier pricing the opening to as high as 40.975. The index had closed last night at 40,842. It is currently priced to reopen at around 40,810
