Dow Jones futures in the red with some household names due to report today
The US Q3 earnings season is in full swing again today. We have a number of household names reporting earnings, before and after the closing bell. The names here in focus are Coca Cola (KO) at 10.55am GMT and Boeing (BA) at 11.30am GMT. After the closing bell this evening, at 8.10pm GMT we get IBM (IBM). Also there are a number of sizeable S+P 500 companies reporting today, but the focus of this update is on the Dow Jones. Yesterday the index closed almost unchanged, ending the session just 6 points lower, at 42,924. However, ahead of these earnings reports, the index future is in the red this morning, currently pricing the opening at around 42,800. The further rise in US yields is also headwind it seems
