The European stock markets have not long reopened for the penultimate session of the year and it has been a lower start to the day. Losses are pretty broad-based, but covering mostly the auto and retail sector right now. Meantime, the Dow Jones futures are still in the red and seemingly mostly pulled lower premarket losses in Boeing (BA) following the tragic crash in South Korea over the weekend. That has cast further doubts over the safety of Boeing aircraft. As reported on earlier, the Dow Jones was the best performing major US index on Friday, but it did not avoid a lower close. The index handed back 333 points, when ending the week 0.77% lower, at 42,992. The index future has been pricing the opening for later today close to 42,800. It is currently priced to reopen around 42,835
