Earlier today the Dow Jones futures were pricing a potential opening below 42,100. Well, since the European opening and partial recovery across the major indexes there, the Dow futures have also rebounded. The Dow reached a new milestone yesterday, when it posted another record high, at 42,281. The index later closed off that high, but it was still another record daily close, at 42,208. The only US data point due out this afternoon is new home sales (August), at 2pm GMT, but in truth, that data and the latest mortgage applications ahead of it, is unlikely to shift the dial much for the Dow later on. The Dow Jones is now pricing a slightly higher opening, currently at 42,220
