It has been a pretty rough week for the Dow Jones so far. The index closed 234 points lower yesterday, at 43,914 and that marked a sixth straight day of declines for the Dow Jones. Please take a look at candle chart of the index you will see what I am talking about. That close was not far above the low of the day, at 43,903. Earlier today, as the Asian markets were falling, the Dow futures were pricing a reopening close to 43,850. However, since the European opening that outlook has improved. The index is currently priced to reopen just above 44k. So, will it snap the downside run later? It certainly might be due a breather leading into the weekend, but then again perhaps not. We shall see how that plays out this afternoon
The US stock markets have just reopened and it has been an across the board lower start to the session. The Nasdaq 100 has just kicked off at 19,657...
Since the last update here on Gold, the metal has now tested and taken out the noted trend line resistance level, in place around $3,029 per ounce...
