Yesterday the rebound across the US stock markets fell foul from a final hour relapse with dented the gains into the close. Prior to that the Dow Jones had lifted as high as 39,449, but gave much of the 800 point gain from the earlier session low (38,638) back, when it slipped into the close and ended the day at 38,997. Nevertheless, the index still closed 294 points higher and the Dow Jones futures have gotten a lift from the gains in the Nikkei 225 today. The index is currently priced to reopen later on at around 39,300, but it remains to be seen, if this Tokyo led boost will stay in place until the index reopens later on
