Dow Jones futures near session highs as FTSE 100 continues to lead European gains

The European stock markets are all still holding gains this morning and those gains are still being led by the FTSE 100. The US futures are still holding gains too and yesterday the weakest of the three major indexes was the Dow Jones, but it sure closed in better shape than looked likely earlier in the session. The Dow Jones had crumbled to 36,611, before the fake news spike sent it charging to 39,207. However, it was not able to hold that suspect move and fell back. The index later closed 349 points lower, at 37,965. So, far today the combination of gains across Asia (led by the Nikkei 225) and those gains here in Europe is leading the Dow futures to session highs not long ago. So, right now the index is priced to reopen around 38,675
