Dow Jones futures get a modest lift as Europe gains

The European stock markets are all in the green this morning and as noted earlier, those gains come after what was a sea of red in Europe on Friday. The DAX and the CAC are leading the rebound so far this morning and that is creating a positive feedback loop across the US futures. As mentioned here already, the Nasdaq 100 was the best performing index ahead of the weekend. The Dow Jones was the weakest in relative terms, because the S+P 500 caught a better tailwind off the Nasdaq 100, as is usually the case. Nevertheless, the Dow Jones closed 307 points to the better on Friday, at 38,904. Right now the index future is pricing a slightly higher opening for later today. Earlier today that was not the case and it might shift back again over the next few hours, but for now the gains in Europe are helping to lift the opening outlook for the Dow Jones today. The index is currently priced to reopen at around 38,920
