Dow Jones futures further in the red as MCDonalds food scare bites

Since the last update here on the price action across the Dow Jones futures, the index has now fallen back further in the red. This is due to a slide in the price of MCDonalds Corp (MCD) in the premarket this morning. This stock is weighted number 7 within the Dow Jones and the price is currently set to reopen later more than 6% lower, due to a significant food poisoning scare impacting many of its US outlets and apparently one person has already died due to this. Hence, the Dow Jones futures have not been able to absorb the premarket slide in this stock. Of course it might get a boost from the noted Q3 results this morning, but if they disappoint, then we are surely looking at yet more downside ahead of the opening. The index is just now priced to reopen around 42,785, but it has been lower a short while ago
