Dow Jones futures extend gains as the index called to open above 40,600

As you can see now this morning all the US equity futures are continuing to make progress and that has now delivered an indicative opening for the Dow Jones, at above 40,600. The index closed on Friday at 40,345 after hitting a session low at 40,297. So, with the futures now pricing a higher opening, if that remains as it is, the index will recover a good portion of the 410 points it handed back on Friday. Of course the opening call may well change over the next 3 hours, but for the time being the US stock markets and the Dow Jones are very much in recovery mode it seems. The Dow is just now priced to reopen at around 40,605
