Dow Jones futures edge lower as European gains wane
The European stock markets are just now slipping and that has come alongside a corresponding drop in the Dow Jones futures. Yesterday the Dow was knocked back by the reports from Fox news. Prior to that the index was looking set for a higher close. The Dow had risen to a high of 39,587, but then fallen back to a low at 39,251. It later closed 140 points lower, at 39,357. Earlier today the index future was pricing the opening for later on at around 39,525, but as the European markets leak lower, the Dow Jones is now priced to open below 39,450
