Dow Jones futures edge lower ahead of the opening
The US equity markets will shortly reopen and ahead of that we have some minor downticks in all three main indexes. As mentioned much earlier this morning, the Dow Jones was the only one of the three to end in the red on Friday. The index closed 54 points lower, at 38,671. The current futures price is now tracking a little lower, but we are talking small margins here in real percentage terms and certainly nothing that cannot be reversed in the blink of an eye, when live trading resumes. As to whether it will is not a given though and much will depend on how the Nasdaq 100 and S+P 500 behave. Also, if there is rotation back out of tech and into cyclical could dictate the price action for the Dow Jones. The index is currently priced to reopen at around 38,625
